l'Uomo Grossi

Grossi is a menswear project that explores and transforms the codes of the Italian male wardrobe through textile experimentation, material innovation, and a strong connection to popular visual culture. Across its collections, the classic archetypes of menswear are deconstructed and reinterpreted through an imagery that draws on manga, comics, and the Italian counterculture of the 1980s and '90s — the brand strips away any connotation of status, giving rise to figures suspended between everyday reality and representation.

The treatment of traditional menswear fabrics — wools, herringbones, and classic materials worked with techniques inspired by denim, coating, and leather-effect finishes — creates a tension between tailoring and experimentation. Elements such as the laser-cut lace "PizzEroticus," drawn from Andrea Pazienza's erotic illustrations, seek an ironic, provocative dimension.

Alongside this universe, characters such as the "Sbarbi" and a leather doll come to life, symbols of a creative spirit rooted in the act of play. GROSSI thus offers a menswear that remains credible in its codes, while expressing a man in constant transformation — one who inhabits a fluid imagery, ready to experiment.
